

This was the beginning of Ron’s career with BNSF. Boeing wanted to send Ron to Missouri, which caused a call to his Father-in-law Duane asking for a job. He took a job in 1974 with Boeing, moving the family to Minot, North Dakota, and later to Lakota, North Dakota, where Randy joined the family. While working at the car wash Ron and Cindy welcomed their first child Renae. They married in April of 1972, with Ron graduating in May. Ron went to high school at Great Falls High- where he met his high school sweetheart Cindy Meiers. His dad, who was in the Air Force, was then transferred to Lubbock Texas, the family moved around the US following his dad. Bishop on February 14, 1954, where they lived until Ron was two. Ron was born in Straubig, Germany to Mary and D.L. Ronald Lawrence Bishop, age 69, of Glasgow, Montana passed away on Septemat his home. Memorials can be made in Daryl’s name to Lustre Christian High School. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, Octoat the Lustre Mennonite Brethren Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lillian.įamily will receive friends Thursday, Octofrom 4 - 6:00 p.m. He is survived by his wife Jean daughters: Laurie (Jon) Klippenes, Lisa (Curt) Neufeld, and Luanne (Marshall) Mullet grandchildren: Molly Klippenes, Mariah Klippenes, Megan Klippenes, Samantha Neufeld, Jake Neufeld, Piper Neufeld, Sophia Mullet, and Oliver Mullet brothers, Les Toews and Norm Toews and sister, Donna King. Presently he was serving on the Valley View Nursing Home Board and as a coordinator for the International Students at LCHS for the last 17 years. He was proud of sponsoring SB 220 and SB 302 (Dry Prairie Rural Water) for this area that is still under construction. God called him to public service as a Montana State Senator for eight years. He was a realtor for 40 years along with working in farming personally and with Zerbe Farms. Serving in these positions was his lifelong ministry and passion as well as raising his three daughters. They returned to Lustre where he served his community in many ways including: LCHS board, LCHS Dorm Parents, Lustre Grade School board, Lustre MB Church Council, Sunday School teacher, and Central District MB Conference boards. His desire was for everyone to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This was a life-changing time of learning about the Spirit-filled life and working with youth. Early in their marriage, they served with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ). He married his wife Jean (Schmidt) Toews on November 27, 1969. He graduated from Lustre Christian High School (LCHS) and then attended Tabor College and Montana State. He accepted Jesus as his personal savior at an early age, and he was a member of the Lustre Mennonite Brethren Church his entire life. His passions for his life were Jesus and serving as Christ did.

He passed away at age 74 on September 30, 2023.ĭaryl grew up with his parents and three siblings on their family farm in Lustre, Montana. Daryl Wayne Toews was born to Harold and Lillian Toews on May 24, 1949, in Glasgow, Montana.
